Mehndi Recipe #1
Ingredients
• 2 tablespoons Mehndi powder ( well sifted )
• 1/2 cup lemon juice ( Fresh lemon juice / strained )
• 3 tablespoons whole cloves
• 1 teaspoon sugar
• 2-3 drops camphor essential oil ( for darker stain )
First , take the lemon juice and cloves and low-heat them together in a pan for about 20-30 minutes.

In the meantime, put the Mehndi and sugar in a glass or ceramic bowl. Strain the mixture through a coffee filter. Add two teaspoons of the infusion to the Mehndi and sugar. Mix well , stir vigorously for a few minutes and add the lemon juice-cloves mixture till a paste is formed. Add the camphor oil and stir till a uniform paste is formed.

Allow the paste to cool naturally. Apply the cooled paste on the palms of your hand for a few minutes to test if it is ready for use. If it leaves a stain behind, go ahead and enjoy making those designs you had in mind.
