In the past few days, a number of people have asked me to suggest some
fonts or sites where they can download new fonts. In most cases, my
answer has been the same: Ace Free Fonts.
This site has been around for some time now, and never stops surprising
users with the vast repository of fonts it has. The best part, though,
is how easily navigable it is. After all, having a large database is
great, but without a good index and easy navigation, it is quite
worthless.
Boasting of over 6,500 fonts, the site’s main page highlights some of
the most popular downloads and the top 10 rated ones. If you are new to
the world of fonts, this is a good way to start off. Another easy
pointer is the ‘top 50 tags’ bar, which will direct you to some of the
most popular font sections.

Ace Free Fonts supports both tags and categories to help in the
browsing process. Click on the ‘Categories’ tab at the top, and you
will be directed to a page that lists categories at top (cool,
distorted, old English, handwriting, stencil, etc.) and a bunch of tags
below it (fancy, dingbats, decorative, techno, etc.).
Alternatively, users can also look up fonts alphabetically through the
listings in the ‘Browse’ tab. And if you know exactly what you are
looking for, just use the ‘Search’ tab to narrow down your results by
the name of the font or a general description of it.
