Yaar k gham ko ajab naqsh-giri aati hai
pour pour aankh k manind bhari aati hai

be-ta'aluq na hamain jaan k ham jaantay hain
kitna kuch jaan k ye be-khabari aati hai

es qadar ghoundhna parti hai laho se mittii
haath ghol jate hain tab koza giri aati hai

kitna rakhte hain wo es shehar-e-khamoshan ka khayaal
rooz ek naao gulaboun se bhari aati hai

zindagi kaisay basar ho ge k ham ko Tabish
