saKht jaan hai.n par hamaarii ustavaarii par na jaa
aise TuuTe.nge teraa iqaraar ban jaaye.nge ham

aur kuchh din baiThane do kuu-e-jaanaa.N me.n hame.n
raftaa raftaa saayaa-e-diivaar ban jaaye.nge ham

is qadar aasaa.N na hogii har kisii se dostii
aashnaa_ii me.n teraa mayaar ban jaaye.nge ham

miir-o-Gaalib kyaa ke ban paaye nahii.n faiz-o-firaaq
zam ye thaa ruumii-o-ataar ban jaaye.nge ham

dekhane me.n shaaKh-e-gul lagate hai.n lekin dekhanaa
dast-e-gul_chii.n ke liye talvaar ban jaaye.nge ham

ham chiraaGo.n ko to taariikii se la.Danaa hai 'Faraz'

gul hue par subah ke aasaar ban jaaye.nge ham
