Everybody knows that assembling a PC is a lot cheaper than buying a branded one.
But often, people tell a computer dealer to buy and assemble their PC
for them. While this is economical, it takes the fun out of getting
down and dirty with the machine. Now, you might think that it’s a
complex job and requires skill; but it really isn’t. Anyone could
easily build their own PC, and today’s Web site shows just how easy it
is and guides you through the whole process

PC it Yourself has divided its ‘how-to’ into three sections for easier understanding: Choosing, Building and Installing.
1)Choosing – Before you get down to actually assembling your PC, it is
important to know what parts are involved in the system and which ones
to buy accordingly. What’s creditable is the technical explanation for
each part that the site provides, helping you better understand your
computer. Now, PC it Yourself is an American site and thus has those
prices and examples; but most of the models that the site talks of are
easily available in our city too.
2) Building – Once you have bought your parts, the actual process of
building the machine is up next. After suggesting a few essential tools
to have handy, the site takes you through a step-by-step guide to
install each component, along with a video of the same. Watch the video
and emulate it, and you’ll never go wrong.
3) Installing – What good is a PC if it doesn’t have any operating
system on it? The third step takes you through the process of
configuring your BIOS and then installing Windows on your hard disk,
getting you up and running.
All the explanations and steps are detailed and well explained. Indeed,
we wish something like this were around a few years back when we
started assembling our own PCs. It would have saved us a lot of
trouble!
