اے دوست تو نے دوستی کا حق ادا کیا
اپنی خوشی لوٹا کے میرا غم گھٹا دیا

کہنے کو تو اپنے ہیں جہاں میں بہت مگر
اپنوں نے مجھ کو در سے دربدر کرا دیا

لڑتا رہا دنیا سے اپنوں کے لیے میں
اپنوں نے تو وفا کا مجھے یہ صلہ دیا

بڑے عرصہ دراز کے بعد غم ہوا تھا کم
ہنسنا ابھی سیکھا تھا کہ پھر سے رولا دیا

من کی لگی ہوئی آگ بجھی تھی ابھی ابھی
کچھ دیر ہی گزری تھی کہ گھر بھی جلا دیا

Aaj kal dil fir se apni dosti me pareshan hai
Dost ke pahle ki tarah na ane se hairan hai

Pata nahi wo kis baat se ho gaye hai khafa
Unko pta nahi roj na ana mere liye hai saja

Dost ate bhi hai har roz chupke se raat ko
Ignore kar dete hai meri har pyaari baat ko

Shayad Hai unko nahi hai khabar meri jazbaat ka
Warna wo dete jaroor koi jawab meri har baat ka

Unse do char bato me dil halka kar leta tha
Do pal apne bewafa sanam ko bhul jata tha

Kuch khabar nahi dost ki unki kalam bhi khamosh hai
Phir bhi mere dost ka intezaar humko ab bhi har roz hai
