کہاں دل کا قرار ملتا ہے
بعد مدت کے یار ملتا ہے

اک لمحہ خوشی کا ملتا ہے
غم کتنا بے شمار ملتا ہے

کیا کریں کہاں چلے جائیں
ہر مسیحا فنکار ملتا ہے

راز اس وقت افشاں ہوتا ہے
رازداں جب کوئی یار ملتا ہے

اب تو حاکم کے چاہنے والوں میں
ہر کوئی ہریص اقتدار ملتا ہے

عداوت جہاں بھی ہوتی ہے
وہیں یہ پیار ملتا ہے

جو بھی محبت کرنے والے ہیں
اشتیاق زہن ان کو بیکار ملتا ہے
