ھم تیرے شہر میں آئے ہیں مُسافر کی طرح
صرف اِک بار ملاقات کا موقع دے دے

میری منزل ھے کہاں میرا ٹھکانہ ھے کہاں
صبح تک تجھ سے بچھڑ کر مجھے جانا ھے کہاں
سوچنےکے لیے اک رات کا موقع دے دے

اپنی آنکھوں میں چھپا رکھے ھیں جگنو میں نے
اپنی پلکوں پہ سجا رکھے ہیں آنسو میں نے
میری آنکھوں کو بھی برسات کا موقع دے دے

آج کی رات میرا دردِ محبت سُن لے
کپکپاتے ھوئے ھونٹوں کی شکایت سُن لے
آج اظہار خیالات کا موقع دے دے

بھولنا تھا تو یہ اقرار کیا ھی کیوں تھا
بے وفا تو نے مجھے پیار کیا ھی کیوں تھا
صرف دو چار سوالات کا موقع دے دے

ھم تیرے شہر میں آئے ہیں مُسافر کی طرح
صرف اِک بار ملاقات کا موقع دے دے
